An Army Of LEGO Simpsons Invades America In May
For those of you unable to drop $200 on the extravagant LEGO Simpsons house released earlier this year, The LEGO Group is rolling out its first ever licensed minifigure series in May, just in time for a special LEGO episode of The Simpsons.
I came this close to spending the $200 on the house, but ended up going with the $250 Metal Beard's Sea Cow set from The LEGO Movie instead. Thankfully my family will never notice if I spend $3.99 here and there to collect the 16 characters in The Simpsons minifig series.
The set will be blind bagged, like the regular LEGO minifigure series, but look at those acessories — there's no way you won't be able to feel Marge's Hair, Itchy and Scratchy's heads, Bart's skateboard or Lisa's sax through the packaging. Thank goodness for their freakish, misshapen skulls. 5
The set should be hitting retailers in May, right around the time The Simpsons LEGO special airs on May 4.

I like that even the characters on the book covers are LEGO-ized.
I'm certainly no Lego expert, but arent they usually the same style with a different face? Aren't these just simpsons figures with lego feet?
It's lego bodies with simpsons heads. This is actually going above and beyond what lego usually does which is use the standard lego body with different paint jobs and hair for the marvel/dc heroes,LotR, Star Wars etc. Having brand new head sculpts is fantastic since painting simpsons faces on the regular lego pill head would not look very good.
These look much better than the sleepy eyed versions that come with the house.
Simpsons Lego game. :-) The amount of characters you could have makes Simpsons perfect for it. Those figures look great.
why did it take until 2014 to finally get lego Simpsons toys? These feel outdated. Like they are old 1990s toys or older
I'm still trying to figure out how to convince my wife to let me drop the $200 for the house, plus the Ecto-1 comes out this summer. Honestly, I was never a big Lego fan growing up, but I am going to be one now.
The neat part is because all have unique heads you can figure out which is which by feeling for them in the pack. Just don't do it at a store that has them near the counter.
They're pretty used to LEGO feeling at this point.
