Probably need a center pole approximately 8 inches in diameter to finish faster and save gas.

Need a larger diameter pole. That way it will take larger sweeps and get done quicker.

I did this 40 yrs ago after seeing it on wonderful world of Disney one Sunday night. the show was the wiz kid. we used the rim from a wheelbarrow and staked it down and had an 20 in mower it over lapped about 2 inches each lap. we had an acre of prop and by the time i finished i had 3-4 neighbors... Max Swisher...who invented the first self propelled mower in the U.S. actually did the same thing in the 1950's by tying the rope to a tree!

Battery-powered and as a docking station it goes back to for recharging.
I bought one about 7 years ago, and it worked well to start.... More
