Bypass Paywalls and Other Blocks with a Few Google Proxy Servers
Whether you work at a place that blocks a bunch of web sites, or you can't access a page because it's behind a paywall, tech blog Digital Inspiration shows you how to use a couple Google proxy servers to get around those restrictions.
Google has a set of servers that you can trick to let you use them to get around web site blocks. For example, their Google Modules service can be used simple by typing in:
http://www.gmodules.com/ig/proxy?url=http://example.com/
This operates just like a proxy and routes your traffic to wherever you want to go. It's a pretty easy way to get around blocks without doing much work. Head over to Digital Inspiration for a few more example, as well as bookmarklets so you can get quick access.

Finally! What I was doing was I saved the cached page urlhttp://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache: as a saved search engine. Hopefully this'll work better. Today 9:48am
I do the same thing.
For Chrome: Right-click on the address bar, and hit "Edit Search Engines"
Title: "Google Proxy"
Keyword: proxy
URL:http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache...
Then when I want to access a blocked URL, I just prefix it with "proxy" and hit space then Enter. For example:

Exactly what I did. Web sites don't usually block the google bot (or it would hurt their rankings severely), so accessing the cached version gives you what Google sees.
This method has the added benefit that it gives you the website as it is when you access it. Today 1:55pm

Be sure to follow the link to the source article which contains all the "proxies". Sometimes only one will work with a particular paywall. (e.g. One I was trying to bypass would only be bypassed with the Translate proxy.) Today 7:03am
Not that I couldn't get round them before but this makes the recent court ruling where the BPI blocked access to kickass torrent, the pirate bay etc look even more silly.
It would appear I spoke too soon, while I can access the home page using this I can't access the rest of the site. Oh well, back to the old methods. Today 7:08am

For those that still have issues, and really want a way around ISP's blocking their favorite sites, there's always a (rather slow) solution: Tor Browser Bundle. Today 7:21am

@Duckula22 maybe I can at least make your day...Google did not get rid of cached pages, they just moved the link/button (again). There is a drop down arrow after the url (under the title of the link), in that drop down has cached page. Today 8:53am
