Hair dryers are magical instruments that make paper planes fly forever

Antoine Terrieux’s art installation at La Maison Des Jonglages in La Courneuve near Paris, France utilizes hair dryers in such a way that there has to be some sort of magic sprinkled on them. You’ll see the hair dryers levitating balls and string in the air, hair dryers creating a fire tornado, hair dryers making a paper airplane fly in a circle forever and more.

The airplane is most likely tied to the ceiling somehow but it’s still flying in a circle forever and ever and ever.

    I’d guess they used mineral oil or some other non-conducting liquid.

  I have a hard time believing that the string and the airplane have a perpetual motion. They should fly through an air stream crack eventually.

    It’s not perpetual motion when external energy is continually input by the hairdryers.
