London's Artesian tops the list again with its dream-like cocktails.
Thirsty? It’s time to enjoy some of the best drinks out there with the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards 2014 and their discerning list of the hottest and most innovative places for good cocktails.
While
London (best city) and USA (best country) continue to lead the pack, Asia is finally breaking through with
Singapore,
Hong Kong and Tokyo all making the top 50 list.
For the third year running, Artesian in London has claimed the title of the World’s Number One Bar and Best Bar in Europe Award while High Five in Tokyo and
28 Hongkong Street in Singapore maintain their place in the top 10. Other notable entries include Hong Kong’s legendary molecular bar (and one of our personal favourites),
Quinary.

Another of New York’s Prohibition-inspired cocktail dens, Employees Only will have you coming back for more with its Art Deco looks and easy-sipping libations.

Canon — a self-proclaimed whiskey and bitters emporium — is home to over 3,300 bottles and arguably one of the largest spirit collections on the West Coast. Be prepared to be mesmerised by the shelves stacked with the most impressive collection of pre-Prohibition antiques, bourbons, whiskies and more, while you sip on a classic Old Fashioned.

7. Baxter Inn, Sydney
Hidden behind a non-descript fire door, Baxter Inn (who also won the title of the Best Bar in Australasia) exudes that vintage feel with washed-out brickwork, dim lighting and the most amazing martinis and single malts.

Don’t be fooled, 28 Hong Kong Street might look like an old vintage shop from the outside but venture pass its veil of thick curtains and you’ll be looking at one of the coolest bars in Singapore.
